Scotty Leaving GH or Just a Trick? Kin Shriner Drops a Mysterious Hint
Kin Shriner shared a post on social media that indicated Scotty may never return to Port Charles, but fans continue to hold out hope for his return.
General Hospital’s Kin Shriner shared with fans his thoughts on whether or not Scotty would be returning to Port Charles.Sure, Scotty Baldwin wears cheap suits and often chases ambulances, but the lovable lawyer has charmed General Hospital fans for decades. He’s had some memorable romances and concocted several cockamamie schemes, many of which he pulled off with the help of Lucy Coe. However, the last time he was seen in Port Charles was in August 2024, where he abruptly disappeared. Since then, fans have been wondering what Shriner’s status on the show is, and he may have recently answered that.
He’s Synonymous With GH
On Instagram, Shriner shared a photo of a dressing room door behind the scenes at GH that had the name Jens Austin Astrup on it. That actor plays Kai, but Shriner was unaware who it was, as his caption read, “This day comes for all actors on soaps. I say good luck to whoever this is! I had a great run, thanks @generalhospitalabc fans for decades of support. I will wash this down with a martini and forge on !!!”
His post implies that Astrup has taken over his old dressing room, and fans wondered when he would be back. One viewer phrased their praise perfectly with the response, “You will always be synonymous with GH for me! Scotty is a GH icon!❤️❤️.” Another lovingly wrote, “So many of us love and miss you Kin! We are an amazing “Scotty”. I would love to see Scotty and Lucy back together 🙂.”
The Fans Remained Positive
Like many, one fan shared their perplexity with the response, “I know I speak for thousands of people, but what the heck is going on??!! One of the most loved characters who has been on for decades, what the hell is going on?!!” Another lovingly wrote, “GH without Scotty?!? You’ve been missed! You gotta come back!! Collectively, the fan response was summed up with the reply, “We want Scotty back on. What’s wrong with these people?” Fortunately, one of Shriner’s fans remained positive with the hopeful response, “I am confident that you will be back…when the timing is right! Port Charles needs Scotty!”
It must be noted that Shriner’s pic was from inside the GH studios. So does that mean Scotty had returned after all, and his post is just a red herring to throw people off?
