Jana Duggar is pregnant!

The Counting On alum, 35, is pregnant and expecting her first baby with husband Stephen Wissmann, announcing the exciting news with a post on Instagram. The couple’s happy news comes almost exactly a year after they got married.

Jana, who is the oldest Duggar daughter, and Wissmann could be seen kissing in one photo and showing off Jana’s growing bump in another. “We are so excited, January 2026 is going to come with a little bundle of joy joining our family!” they wrote in their caption.

“We’re counting down the days and eagerly looking forward to this thrilling new chapter in our lives!”

Last August, Jana married Wissmann in Prairie Grove, Ark., in a “classic, elegant” ceremony.

The pair, who got engaged on June 15, 2024, exchanged traditional vows at The Grand at Willow Springs in front of 500 guests. Jessa Duggar Seewald served as the bride’s maid of honor, while her sister-in-law, Abbie Duggar, and sisters Joy-Anna Forsyth, Johannah Duggar, Jinger Duggar Vuolo and Jordyn Duggar were bridesmaids.

“I think it is one of those things that all girls envision someday,” Jana told PEOPLE of her wedding just two days before the celebration.

“For me, it felt like, ‘Okay, it’s never coming.’ But now it’s starting to sink in. Reality is starting to set in. And I’m like, ‘Wow, this truly is something that I’ve dreamed of.’ And just to see it coming about is incredible and kind of hard to believe. It’s a dream come true.”

At the time, Jana admitted to PEOPLE that she had her guard up when it came to falling in love, but Wissmann ended up proving that he was the one.

“I had been a slower mover on it, but just over time, his character, his coming back, still loving me no matter what,” she said. “I know we have a big crazy family and still kind of putting up with a lot of things. I’m like, my goodness, there are not too many people that do that. He must really, genuinely care about me.”
