General Hospital Spoilers, January 16: The verdict is in as Alexis defends herself

What to expect on General Hospital
Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) left it in the hands of the jury when she gave the weakest closing argument of her life, even adding in a little Freudian slip when she said the name “Willow” instead of “Michael.” Oddly enough, she also asked the jury to find Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) innocent, rather than not guilty. Was she trying to give the jury some kind of hint?
While Alexis and the rest of Port Charles wait to hear what the jury decides, Alexis is forced to explain herself to Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) and Trina (Tabyana Ali). The two college students want to know how justice is being served by allowing Willow to walk free.
They have a point, but Alexis has to explain that she is bound by ethics as a defense attorney, while also terrified she won’t ever see her granddaughter again if Willow isn’t acquitted.
Willow’s fateful text
Like everyone else, Nina (Cynthia Watros) has had enough of Drew (Cameron Mathison) and puts him on notice. “Now it’s time to do things my way,” Nina tells her ex-lover/son-in-law. Drew seems surprised that Nina now wants to tell him what to do.
As for Willow, she is on pins and needles waiting to see if she will get away with attempted murder or not. While out for a bite, she gets a text that the jury is in. There is nothing more for Willow to do except head to the courthouse to finally hear her fate.
Anna’s big surprise
Anna (Finola Hughes) is still locked away from everyone she loves in the bowels of Wyndemere, except she has no idea that she is still in Port Charles. She is worried for her health, but now knows she should not have used it as a means to escape. Now, her health issues are real and it could be too late.
Spoilers say that Anna finds herself stunned on Friday. Does she discover that she has been on Spoon Island the whole time? Does someone find her there? Could that someone be a person whom Anna thinks is still locked away in an international prison?
